Kleeen understands there’s a place for no-code tools that utilize drag and drop templates and hosted models. They’re excellent for citizen-developers who may not possess the technical skills to write code. But Kleeen was born from a collection of software developers at a design studio who catered to customers that needed more customization and control. The founders of Kleeen recognized a need for something different and decided to build a SaaS authoring platform.
Kleeen’s platform was built by developers for developers. The foundation was constructed out of collective years of experience and what we would want from a no-code authoring tool. Below is list of what not to expect when using Kleeen.
Hostage Negotiations
With Kleeen, all of your code is 100% exportable. Kleeen doesn’t own your source code, you do. When you perform an export, you receive vanilla React code. You can continue building on Kleeen but if, for any reason, you choose to no longer utilize Kleeen you still own your code, and therefore can continue using what you built.
Spaghetti Code
Being developers, we know at the end of the day you and your team are responsible for shipping code, security and quality and the stability of your product. This means the code must have common-sense structure and intelligence comments. For example, the places you need to wire up endpoints are marked with “TODO: Put Your Code Here” and folders for custom widgets, pages, and CSS are named “Custom”.
Feature Walls
Kleeen knows that one tool can’t build everything. To prevent being the blocker to building your vision, we made a structure that allows you to insert customizations for the things we don’t do. You can insert your custom-built pieces, pages from BI tools like Tableau, or almost anything you need to make sure you’re building the application you dreamed of.
Mystery Boxes
With many no-code tools you’re never able to see or access your code. It’s hosted in a managed environment where the hope is after you’ve spent time, money and effort, you’ll remain a loyal customer. Kleeen decided to approach our tool from another angle. We give you total freedom to host where you’d like, and once you are able to streamline development with our pro-developer tool, you will find it hard to develop without it.
Recognizable Templates
It’s easy to spot the end product of many no-code tools because of the limited amount of templates. They all have common attributes. Kleeen was built to give developers the maximum amount of control over look, feel and styling. You’re able to replace the CSS entirely or make minor adjustments.
Status Quo
Kleeen works on a continuous development cycle with weekly or bi-weekly releases. It is important to continually move our solution forward and provide the functionality customers are requesting.
Bottom Line
Kleeen’s mission is to help you execute your vision by reducing the time developers spend on ordinary tasks of front-end development and allowing you the freedom to customize as much as you need.
